develop my abilities as a teacher (including writing materials and planning a syllabus);
offer anyone interested free access to learning the English language.
Three levels are offered at this time:
A2 - Elementary Proficiency
B1 - Intermediate Proficiency
B2 - Working Proficiency
If you are unsure about your level, take a free and quick test (15 minutes) here: efset.org/quick-check, or here: cambridgeenglish.org/test-your-english/general-english. The test is not mandatory and students can change levels after the course starts.
free, online, live, weekly classes
independent study + work books
(The material is still being written aimed at a 2027 publication.)
This will also be a place to elaborate on teaching practices and language aimed pedagogy. I hope to share relevant insights and guides that may help and inspire fellow teachers.
English has increasingly become the global lingua franca, the most spoken second language and often the standard language for international/multilingual communication: cultural and professional opportunities are tied to an understanding of English.
As an English teacher at schools, language centres, and businesses, I have seen first hand the value the English language carries and the investment many are willing to make to be among the surprisingly small group of English speakers worldwide. Meanwhile, most are not given the necessary tools to fairly compete in an ever-globalised world.
This is my small contribution towards making the world a smaller, closer place for all.
It is also, as is everything, a learning opportunity for me to improve my knowledge and abilities as a teacher. As such, I kindly ask for comments and criticism - positive and negative! - which will help me develop.
I intend to be as consistent as possible, but I reserve the right to modify and remove the material and the course at any time.
